Exaltation of the Cross Liturgy

There will be Liturgy for the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross on Thursday the 13th at 6:30pm. The OCF will be present and will meet afterwards, although all are welcome to share in fellowship. Thanks to Deb Amato for reminding me to put a notice up on the site!

Cathedral Open House

All are welcome to attend the St. George Cathedral Annual Open House on Sunday the 9th, beginning at noon. Featured at the open house will be:

  • Tours of the church and its beautiful iconography
  • Opportunities to ask questions about Christianity and Orthodoxy
  • Free materials about our faith
  • Booths featuring our many organizations: for adults, college students, and children
  • Samplings of ethnic food, and of course sweets!

Nativity of the Theotokos; Wed Vespers

The Cathedral will serve Liturgy for the Nativity of the Theotokos on Saturday, September 8th. Orthros will begin at 9:30, with Liturgy at 10:30.

Also, Wednesday night Vespers will resume on the 5th. Beginning on the 12th, there will be lecture and discussion sessions on various topics by James Purdie, Bogdan Bucur, Ph.D., Meredith Burnett, and Clement Ferguson. A list of the topics will be posted on the web site once they are finalized.
